CMP works systematically with its environmental issues. Goals and action plans are followed up and developed over time as new competences are gained.
Development of environmental and quality management systems
At CMP, environmental responsibility is delegated to each Terminal Manager. This responsibility is mainly handled through the use of a common environmental and quality management system. Development of this system began in 2014. A new document management system was also introduced and the next step is to update policy documents and templates. It increases the availability of documents and simplifies management. In this way, environmental and quality management systems are a more effective tool which simplifies responsibility. Terminal Managers have also undertaken training on environmental legislation during the year. Expanded knowledge of the legal framework clarifies roles and responsibilities in a manner that facilitates accountability. To further support these responsibilities, CMP's environmental manager is available for discussions and to provide information and guidance.
