CMP Cruise Department did it again!

Once again, we have succeeded. A distinguished cruise price granted Copenhagen.

  In these days runs the annual Seatrade Cruise Global 2016 cruise trade show in Fort Lauderdale - USA. More than 800 exhibitors from 93 countries are working to attract and persuade the many visitors. More than 11,000 professionals visit the Cruise fair.

  Copenhagen Malmö Port, as the largest cruise port in Northern Europe present, and has once again won the attractive award from Cruise Insight 2015 Awards as "Best Turnaround Port Operations".

  It's fantastic, once again, to regain this price. Many of our competing colleagues wanted the Price, but when it was made public – they all agreed that it was well deserved.

When the location of Lindbäcks’ new production facility was being chosen, the transport logistics were an important element of the supporting data for the decision. The choice made was Haraholmen in Piteå, with the proximity to Piteå Port and the opportunity for maritime transport operations being major factors. Production has now been up and running for eight months, and this week Lindbäcks shipped its first load by sea. “We loaded and dispatched 85 units down to Lund. Marine transport is an excellent complement to road transport, so we’re now conducting a first test,” says Lars Wallgren, Logistics Manager.

This week, the annual general meeting was held in Copenhagen Malmö Port, CMP, where the profit/annual accounts for 2017 was approved. 2017 was a good year for CMP. Turnover increased from SEK 812 million to SEK 839 million. Freight volumes ended up at about the same level as in 2016. At the same time the cruise segment again broke records and made a substantial contribution to the increased turnover. All in all, operating income improved by SEK 35 million at SEK 78 million.

The new cruise quay in Visby was opened today in connection with the visit to the port of the ship AIDAdiva.
