STS cranes
The two new STS cranes from Konecranes weigh approximately 1,150 tonnes each and are just over 77 metres high. With the boom raised, they reach a height of 108 meters. This size, combined with several new features such as remote control and semi-automatic operation, future-proofs the container terminal for many years to come.
THE ARRIVAL IN COPENHAGEN
During the spring of 2025, the two STS cranes from Konecranes arrived in Copenhagen for the new container terminal in Ydre Nordhavn. The cranes were shipped from Finland one at a time, with a few weeks between each shipment, and the voyage took approximately four days. Follow their arrival and unloading in the videos.
